The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Community Outpatient services, ensuring efficient service delivery, excellent patient experience, and compliance with statutory and performance requirements. This role plays a key part in managing waiting times, optimising clinic capacity, supporting clinicians, and leading administrative teams across multiple community sites.

The Outpatient Manager will work closely with the Service and General Managers to ensure services run efficiently and effectively, providing leadership and support to administrative and clinical teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, teamwork and service improvement, and who is keen to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people.

The role includes overseeing outpatient processes, monitoring performance against key targets and KPIs, managing clinic capacity, and responding to service pressures to meet statutory and commissioning requirements. The post holder will act as the lead administrator for Community Outpatients, providing oversight of data quality, patient pathways, complaints, and PALS queries. They will work closely with clinicians, service managers, and stakeholders to implement service improvements, support digital and process developments, maintain high standards of customer care, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery across Community Paediatrics and CYPIT.
