We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Animal Compliance and Registrar to join our team at our York campus.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is capable of working with others and is responsible, passionate and knowledgeable about the overall animal management sector.
The candidate will be the primary admin user for ZIMS and must be able to work with the keepers to ensure records are inputted correctly and efficiently across both the Wildlife Park, Heritage Conservation Farm, Dog school and Companion facilities.
The candidate will also co-ordinate monthly on-site veterinary visits and follow up with any associated administration, including compiling vet reports and ordering medication. The candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating animal acquisitions and dispositions across the Wildlife Park and Heritage Farm in conjunction with our CPH, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed and be able to liaise with the relevant stakeholders to ensure transfers run smoothly (EEP's, Studbooks). The candidate will also assist keepers with administrative tasks including ordering livestock (equipment, substrate, feed etc).
The ideal candidate must be compliant and well versed with zoo licensing requirements and be able to maintain accurate records which will be used in license inspections.
Qualifications
Applicants should be educated to at least a level 3 in an animal related subject, and a degree in an animal related subject would be advantageous.
