Our client is an innovative science and research organisation who is looking for a Courier Coordinator. This is a great time to be joining in their success and becoming part of their friendly and supportive team.
What will the role involve:
Processing shipping parcels of samples to be sent to Hospitals and Consultants in the UK and abroad
Using systems to record deliveries and distributing them to the right department
Identifying issues with shipments (inbound and outbound) and resolving these
Contacting external couriers, liasing with other sites/departments
Emptying outside drop boxes regularly
Managing emails to the hospital to provide information on collections and deliveries
Updating the database with accurate information on couriers'
Answering phone calls and monitoring the entrance gates
Signing visitors in/out and reporting this to the right department
Using an excel spreadsheet
Preparing consumable items to sent to hospitals or consultants
General upkeep of the office environment - ordering stationery, cleaning, locking up for the day
Who are we looking for?
A highly organised individual
Natural problem solver
A confident communicator who can take initiative to resolve issues
A keen eye for detail
Advantageous to have experience of working in logistics or warehouse administration
Additional information - Please note that this role will be on a temporary basis for the first 12 weeks, with the potential for extension. The role will be fully on site.
