The Role

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to take ownership of our marketing function and shape how we connect with audiences across retail, events, and consultancy.

This role combines strategy, creativity, and hands-on delivery. You'll be responsible for building integrated campaigns, strengthening our digital presence, and ensuring our marketing activity drives business growth.

You'll work as both a strategist and executor—mapping long-term marketing plans while also diving into analytics, creative content, and campaign optimisation.

Key Responsibilities & Day-to-Day

Strategy & Planning

* Design and deliver a multi-brand digital marketing strategy across retail, events, and consultancy.
* Own the annual roadmap, managing budgets, KPIs, and performance reporting to leadership.

Campaign Management

* Plan, launch, and optimise paid and organic campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
* Lead digital campaigns for product and event launches, coordinating closely with sales and events teams.

Content & Brand

* Oversee content creation for web, email, and social media, ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement.
* Manage freelance creatives, designers, and content partners.

Data & Insights

* Track and analyse campaign performance (CTR, ROAS, engagement, conversions) and turn insights into action.
* Produce monthly dashboards and reports for leadership.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

* Line-manage one Marketing Executive and manage relationships with external agencies.
* Collaborate with retail and events teams to align campaigns with commercial priorities.

A typical week could involve:

* Reviewing PPC performance and adjusting strategy.
* Briefing a designer on branding for an upcoming event.
* Presenting quarterly marketing results to senior leadership.
* Running a brainstorm session to shape a new product launch campaign.

Must-Have Requirements

* Minimum 4 years' experience in digital marketing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
* Proven success managing multi-channel campaigns (PPC, SEO, social, email).
* Strong skills in Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, and paid social platforms.
* Demonstrated ability to translate analytics into strategy.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Leadership experience, including mentoring or managing team members.
* Based within commutable distance to Manchester HQ (role requires regular on-site presence).

Nice-to-Have Skills

* Experience in retail, events, or consultancy marketing.
* Knowledge of marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Marketo).
* Design skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
* Familiarity with influencer partnerships and experiential marketing.
* Event promotion and ticketing platform experience.
