About the company
We're seeking a proactive and experienced Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead our client's engineering function—ensuring operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across all plant assets, infrastructure, and utilities. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and compliance of all equipment and site infrastructure. You'll lead a skilled team of engineers, driving preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, and a safety-first culture across the plant.
Engineering & Maintenance Manager- Requirements
Degree or HNC in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
Proven leadership in engineering/maintenance within a regulated manufacturing environment (healthcare, pharma, food preferred)
Strong knowledge of CMMS systems, asset care principles, RCA, TPM
Familiarity with EHS and environmental regulations (PUWER, LOLER, ISO 14001)
Hands-on experience with capital projects and contractor management Engineering & Maintenance Manager- Responsibilities
Own and optimise the site's Preventative Maintenance (PM) strategy
Reduce unplanned downtime and improve OEE through data-driven planning
Lead, coach, and develop the Engineering & Maintenance team
Oversee performance management, training, and skills development
Plan and deliver capital projects from concept through execution
Ensure compliance with PUWER, LOLER, Pressure Systems, and related legislation
Manage site utilities (compressed air, HVAC, power, water) and infrastructure
Maintain relationships with service providers and external suppliers About Us
