Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in using hand and power tools. As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the highest quality of service for our customers.
Duties
* Perform MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
* Conduct detailed inspections of vehicle components including brakes, lights, steering, and exhaust systems.
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and adjustments as necessary.
* Document findings accurately and provide clear reports on the condition of vehicles tested.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding test results and any required repairs.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Assist with heavy lifting tasks as required during vehicle inspections and repairs.
Requirements
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair or testing.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary during vehicle inspections.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Good communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.

Pay: £16.10-£25.00 per hour
