This is a part-time, office-based position based at our Bicester location. Remote or home working is not available. Fixed part-time rotas are available based on current service needs.
We are looking for individuals who can provide compassionate, detailed, and efficient support to people in distress, including those experiencing mental health crises, parents with children sustaining minor injuries, or patients with common illnesses. The role requires emotional resilience and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle a wide variety of NHS 111 calls, providing appropriate clinical triage and guidance using NHS Pathways after training.
* Assess patient needs, give suitable advice or dispatch appropriate urgent care when required.
* Maintain accurate documentation and protect patient confidentiality.
* Support the team by contributing to a positive, patient-centered environment.
Training and Development
We offer a full six-week training program, including NHS Pathways training. After training, you will have the skills to assess patient needs and deliver high-quality care.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Essential: Good all-round education (e.g., 2 GCSEs including English) or equivalent demonstrable experience; experience in a customer/patient services environment; ability to use computer systems and telephone as part of work; safeguarding must be age 18 or over.
* Desirable: NHS Pathways trained; NVQ 2/3 in Customer Services or equivalent; experience in a call centre; geographical knowledge of the operational area; experience with rotating shifts; experience in health or voluntary sectors; knowledge of first aid/anatomy.

* Competitive hourly rate: £12.59 per hour; unsocial allowances apply (e.g., time plus 35% for evenings and nights, time plus 69% for Sundays and public holidays).

Recruitment Process
