Job Title: Purchase Administrator
Location: Leicester (Office-Based)
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Administrator to join a well-established and fast-paced engineering business based in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong purchasing and administrative experience to play a key role in supporting procurement operations within a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Raise and process purchase orders accurately in line with business requirements
2. Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules
3. Monitor and track orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any delays or issues
4. Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information
5. Support the procurement team with general administrative duties
6. Assist with invoice queries and ensure correct matching to purchase orders
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
8. Ensure compliance with internal processes and purchasing procedures
About You
9. Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement administration role is essential
10. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
11. Confident communicator, both written and verbal
12. Experience liaising with suppliers and managing orders
13. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
14. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
15. A proactive and reliable team player
