We are looking for a Dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join the King's Hawford Prep School team to work with a Year 3 pupil who requires 1:1 individualised SEND support.

The role will include (please refer to the job description for full details)
* Supervising and providing support for the individual pupil, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
* Under the direction of the class teacher and using specialist knowledge or experience, supporting the pupil's learning using strategies appropriate to their needs and following targets set out in the EHCP.
* Fostering strong relationships with the child, their parents, and colleagues.
* Supporting the pupil to access the wider curriculum, e.g. day trips or non-residentials, as required.
* Being proactive in matters relating to safeguarding and child protection, and health and safety.
We're looking for applicants who can demonstrate:
* A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification and practical experience
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Experience of working with children with Autism is preferred.

Working pattern
This is a full-time position (flexibility will be required), term time only. The role is fixed term for the duration of the approved funding whilst the pupil is enrolled at King's Hawford.
