We are now recruiting for a skilled CNC Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter / Programmer to join our production team. You will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. In addition to this, you will be responsible for: * Setting up, adjusting and operating basic or specialised machine tools used to perform precision machining operations. * Aligning and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines. * Monitoring the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. * Studying sample parts, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to produce products. * Measuring, examining, or testing completed parts to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications by regularly inspecting the finished products using precision measuring tools. * Maintaining equipment in proper condition by cleaning and performing minor repairs when necessary. In order to be successful in this role you must have: * Proven work experience as a Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter/Programmer. * Ability to interpret technical instructions and drawings. * Experience with Star and/or Mazak machines preferred. * Excellent knowledge of the properties of metal and other material. * Experience with precision measurement tools. * Mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations in order to produce parts that meet specifications. * Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy. * 4 years machining experience, with a vocational or technical training preferred. * Problem-solving skills to identify and fix issues that may occur during the machine operation process. * Knowledge of safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. * Availability to work shifts if required.
