MECHANICAL PIPING ENGINEER
is required by our Client, an Oil and Gas operator, to be assigned on a contract basis, based in HBNS, Algeria.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Reporting to the Chef Service Engineering, the principle role is responsible for mechanical engineering and support at the assigned site location including, but not limited to; static equipment, piping, HVAC and rotating equipment (compressors, pumps etc.).
* Responsible for Mechanical and piping engineering including, but not limited to; static equipment, piping, HVAC and rotating equipment (compressors, pumps etc.). Responsibilities also include working within the Field Change Proposal system and acting as Project Sponsor/Leader for Mechanical related projects at sites (as assigned by your line manager) to complete and close out site projects and modification work.
* Focus on the successful execution of the projects ensuring that they are on time, within budget and in accordance with; agreed project requirements, company specifications & standards and Algerian Regulatory requirements.
* Develop engineering and project scope of works and ensure that all related deliverables are in compliance with the applicable codes, standards, project, statutory and corporate requirements and procedures.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATION
* BSc / BEng Engineering Degree (or equivalent) in relevant engineering discipline.
* At least 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry, a large proportion of which should have been in oil and gas processing projects involved in detailed engineering of rotating and static mechanical equipment.
* Detailed understanding of engineering equipment and materials used in an Oil & Gas production facility and how it works within the process.
* Strong technical, planning, communication and reporting skills.
* Familiar with discipline related engineering software.
* Working knowledge and understanding of relevant industry codes and standards.
* Must be a self-starter capable of analysing and solving problems within his / her discipline and interfacing with a multi-disciplined engineering team.
