A leading international law firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to support its Finance practice across London and Europe. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated BD professional to play a strategic role within a collaborative, high‑performing team.
About the Role
In this role, you will partner closely with Finance leaders and lawyers to drive strategic BD initiatives, marketing campaigns and client development programmes. You will take ownership of pitches and RFPs, profile‑raising activities, thought leadership, events, and broader BD operations that help elevate the firm’s market position. Key Responsibilities
* Develop and support business plans, budgets and strategic BD initiatives for the Finance practice.
* Collaborate with partner leaders to deliver marketing campaigns and targeted growth strategies.
* Lead the creation of pitches, proposals, and presentations, ensuring global consistency and quality.
* Drive thought leadership programmes and marketing campaigns across key platforms, including social media.
* Manage webinars, seminars, sponsorships, and client‑facing events.
* Produce market, client, and competitive intelligence reports.
* Coordinate communications, meetings, reporting and progress tracking for BD initiatives.
* Ensure experience, credentials, bios and practice materials are accurate and up to date.
* Support process improvements and workflow efficiencies within the BD function.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills: :
* Degree educated (or equivalent experience).
* Demonstrated success in marketing, BD or communications within professional services, financial services, or a comparable corporate environment.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel proficiency required).
* Familiarity with research tools used in competitive/market intelligence (preferred).
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
* Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving ability.
* A proactive, self‑starting approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Strong stakeholder management and client service mindset.
* Experience with budget management is desirable but not essential.
Working Pattern
* Standard hours: 9:00am–5:00pm
* Hybrid working: 2 days from home per week (subject to business needs)
