Job Description
A boutique, design-led studio is seeking a Midweight Interior Designer with a proven track record in High-end Residential or Hospitality Interiors. The studio is known for delivering beautifully detailed, globally influenced projects with a strong craftsmanship, collaboration, and quality. With a wide network of trusted freelancers, the studio offers full autonomy, close mentorship from the Executive Director, and the flexibility of remote work. This role entails hands-on involvement across all project stages from concept through to installation on local and international commissions.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate closely with the Executive Director to develop and deliver design concepts on multiple High-end projects.
* Produce design presentations, drawings, and schedules with clarity, creativity, and attention to detail.
* Create and manage detailed drawing packs using AutoCAD, including plans, elevations, and joinery details.
* Support FF&E specification and procurement, including sourcing, scheduling, and supplier coordination.
* Coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure seamless execution on-site.
* Represent the studio during site visits and installations as needed (occasional travel required).
* Manage time effectively while juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote-working environment.
Qualifications
* Professional degree in Interior Design or related field.
* Minimum 4 years’ experience within High-end Residential or Hospitality Interiors.
* Strong conceptual thinking and technical confidence across all project stages.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
Software
* Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Studio Designer (Mac).
* Strong graphic presentation and technical drawing skills required.
Compensation & Details
* 12-month contract | Limited/Self-Employed | Outside IR35.
* £35,000 – £45,000 per annum pro rata (inclusive of agency margin).
* Fully remote, with Mac & phone provided.
* Ideal start date: Late September.
