Job summary
HMP Haverigg is a CAT D prison, working pre-dominantly with sex-offenders. The prison has just received excellent outcomes from both the HMIP, and the CQC. The mental health team is well-established, offers a variety of interventions to the client group, including Trauma therapy, EMDR, groupwork. We are innovative, compassionate and supportive of each other, working for a great team, in a wonderful part of the country.
Main duties of the job
The main duty of the job is to be the clinical lead for the mental health team, leading on professional development and ensuring the delivery of robust evidence-based practice.
The successful candidate, will hold a caseload of patients with complex needs, providing nurse-led diagnosis, and treatment planning
It is anticipated the post holder will be an NMP, (independent prescriber) or being willing to work on this within the first year in post.

Haverigg has a well-established, and multi-skilled mental health team, we offer a variety of primary, and secondary care interventions. The nurse led team consists of Psychological well-being practitioners, health and well-being coaches, mental health nurses, a nurse consultant, psychologist, counsellors and trauma therapists.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Current Professional Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council - RMN / RNLD/ RGN (RNSC - CAMHS Only)
2. Recognised Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor or currently in progress of achieving.
3. Trained in Clinical Supervision and providing Clinical Supervision or in the process of achieving
4. Postgraduate diploma in a subject relevant to the area Or be willing to work towards and achieve within 2 years and
5. Within the first year of being in post hold a recognised qualification in a governed therapy/advanced clinical qualification Intermediate Systemic Family Therapy/Post Grad diploma in CBT/British Isles Dialectical Behaviour Therapy /NMP (Independent Prescriber)
6. AND Equivalent clinical experience to that of a Post Grad Diploma/master's level such as working as a band 6 (or above) in relevant clinical area with significant experience (see below under experience), together with evidence of relevant CPD
