An exciting opportunity has arisen for a capable, conscientious and supportive Medical Secretary to join our busy and dedicated team based within the Older Persons Mental Health Team in Stockton. The role is based in Aysgarth building and benefits from free on-site parking and is easily accessed by bus.
As a member of the Admin Team, you will work alongside other medical secretaries and administrators. The office is an area of high activity, and no two days are the same, you will be an integral part of the team. Main duties of the job
Whilst having previous experience in an administrative role is essential, NHS or other health care experience is not. We are first and foremost looking for individuals with a passion for people, customer service experience, an interest in working in a health care setting and a 'can do' attitude
The Medical Secretary role is pivotal in the day to day operations of the medical and multidisciplinary teams. As part of this role, you will work closely with Consultants, Medics, clinicians, Managers and the wider team to provide the best possible care to the service user.
We are looking for someone who is able to multitask in a busy environment, communicate confidently, prioritise their workload and meet deadlines and build strong working relationships with a variety of people. You will need experience in transcribing dictations and management of appointments/diaries.

5. BTEC Diploma/Level 3 Diploma in Team Leader/Supervisor or equivalent (ie NVQ in Business Administration / RSA Level 3) OR equivalent knowledge gained through relevant work experience plus a willingness to work towards the Diploma in Team Leader/ Supervisor within an agreed timescale
6. IT Qualification ( ECDL Qualification, RSA, NVQ in Business Administration) OR equivalent knowledge gained through relevant work experience.
7. Key skills/functional skills in literacy and numeracy Level 2 OR O Level (Grade C and above) / New GCSE in Maths and English (Grade 4 to 9).
