Founding Engineer - AI Recruiting Infrastructure (SF, On-site)
$, - $, + Competitive Equity
About the Company
Our client is an early-stage, venture-backed startup building AI agents that do the actual work of recruiting.
Instead of job boards and applications, their platform autonomously finds, engages, qualifies, and converts top talent-focusing on the 75% of candidates who never apply.
They've raised a pre-seed from top-tier investors and are արդեն operating at marketplace scale, with 40K+ candidates and hundreds of high-growth startup customers.
Now, they're scaling toward the next phase-and need a founding engineer to help build the infrastructure that takes this x.
The Role
This is a true founding engineer opportunity working directly with the CTO.
You won't be picking up tickets-you'll own systems end-to-end and ship to production daily. The feedback loop is tight: what you build this week is used by real customers immediately.
You'll play a key role in shaping the technical foundation of an AI-native recruiting platform.

2. Agentic Conversation Systems
Develop AI agents that engage candidates via messaging, handle objections, answer questions, and schedule calls-while maintaining accuracy and human-like interaction
3. Real-Time Matching Engine
Design low-latency systems (
