Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the delivery of mechanical services from tender stage through construction to commissioning and client handover.
* Coordinate closely with project managers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of project objectives.
* Lead subcontractor selection, procurement, and management, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, programme, and budget.
* Monitor and control project costs, change management, and reporting in collaboration with commercial teams.
* Ensure technical compliance of mechanical installations with project specifications, industry standards, and statutory regulations.
* Attend client meetings, progress reviews, and coordination workshops.
* Ensure timely production of RAMS, commissioning plans, O&M manuals, and as-built documentation.
* Maintain a focus on health & safety, quality, and environmental compliance throughout project delivery.
* Drive continuous improvement, value engineering, and programme efficiencies where possible.
* Contribute to project planning and resourcing to meet key delivery milestones.
Requirements:
* Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or time-served with strong project delivery track record).
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Contracts Manager or Project Manager role with a mechanical contractor or building services firm.
* Proven experience delivering mechanical packages on Commercial, Industrial, or high-end fit-out projects.
* Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, public health services, BMS, and mechanical compliance requirements.
* Familiarity with relevant UK building regulations, CIBSE guides, and health & safety legislation.
* Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools; knowledge of Navisworks or design review software beneficial.
