Opportunity
Are you an electrical professional who has hit somewhat of a glass ceiling? Maybe looking to come away from the tools, or use your electrical knowledge in an estimating & costing roe for a world leading electrical manufacturer?
We are looking to bring in a strong electrical professional to use their electrical knowledge to cost projects and tenders for our clients across the UK. A chance to come in to a worldwide engineering powerhouse where there will be plenty of future opportunity & scope.
Oh, and the role is “working from home” which will be pretty appealing to some…
The person:
We are open to the person, but someone who can read electrical diagrams and cost certain projects and look to add to our tenders – so electricians, engineers, estimators….
Ideally, you will have estimating experience, but we are pretty open as long as you have sharp electrical diagram reading skills and can work with our suppliers, internal teams and come up with the costings of certain projects & tenders.
The role:
To set the scene, we install, maintain and commission a range of our own electrical equipment (so things like UPS systems, IPS systems, switchgear etc.) in a range of different environments – a lot of this will be in the healthcare sector but we operate in the likes of datacentres, manufacturing, rail etc.
That’s where you come in…
We need someone who can look at what is needed, read through the electrical diagrams, work with our suppliers and come up with costings and a plan for how the project / tender can be achieved. Some can take an hour, some can take a few days.
This is part of an existing team so we have a lot of training and development where needed, but you will be doing this work from home (so can be based anywhere).
The company:
We have worked with some of the major electrical players in the world over the years, these are organisation the one that I have the most interest in from candidates historically. A multinational company who are present in every continent apart from Antarctica, but who are organically growing in the UK so as the feeling of a growing SME (expanded by 25% in the last 4 years) in the UK which gives it a unique feel.
They manufacture their own electrical equipment which is provided in to numerous sectors across the world and have to train new staff up around such equipment – complex stuff and things that will be completely new to your skill set.
