The Senior Procurement Manager - Energy will play a crucial role in managing the procurement of energy (Electricity, Gas, Water, Fuels) across the Group (c.£50m p.a.), including the source-to-contract process for all services in this area across the UK and Ireland, Italy, and Germany. This includes retailer agreements and potential new UK and EU Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
Responsibilities
* Manage the commercial oversight and operational enhancements of recently closed UK renewable PPAs
* Support company-wide programs with energy impact
* Implement new energy sources, fuels, systems, and processes
* Partner with the Supply Chain Sustainability team and stakeholders to support the company's Net Zero commitment
* Broaden expertise by working on additional Corporate Services categories and contributing to wider Group initiatives
Requirements
* Proven Procurement experience in Energy Procurement
* Experience working in a global/pan-European function
* Open to cross-category and cross-company collaboration
* Highly motivated, proactive, and possess excellent relationship building/management, negotiating, commercial acumen, organisational, presentational, prioritisation, and project management skills
* Creative thinking, ability to structure decision-making, and manage various projects
* Experience in complex accounting treatments relating to VPPA's, on-site energy solutions
* Background in renewables with a passion for the Net Zero agenda/environmental issues
* Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent and a Procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) preferred
* Experience in additional corporate and business services categories
