Campbell Grove Talent are partnering with a growing SME in Goole who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their Head Office team.

In the role, youll be trusted to take ownership of key financial processes while working closely with the Group Financial Controller.
What youll be doing:
This is a broad Assistant Accountant role, giving you exposure across the full finance function:
Month-end duties including journals, accruals, prepayments, payroll postings, stock adjustments
Bank reconciliations, including multi-currency transactions
Preparing and maintaining audit files for the annual audit
Calculating sales agent commissions and customer rebates
Posting invoices and maintaining the ledgers to Trial Balance
Fixed asset register maintenance
Assisting with management accounts and other reporting as required
Aged debtor and creditor ledger management
Supporting trade finance and operational finance tasks where needed
Helping with payroll, purchase ledger and credit control if required
Essentially, this is a role for someone who likes variety, responsibility, and the chance to work across the full accounting function.
About you:
Were looking for someone who:
Is ideally AAT qualified or QBE
Has experience with bank reconciliations, journals, and month-end processes
Has good communication skills and enjoys working in a collaborative environment
Is proactive, reliable, and happy to support the team wherever needed
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage 200, or similar) and strong Excel skills are highly desirable.
