About The Role

As a Head Chef, you will manage the kitchen team to prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that our Residents will enjoy. You’ll offer great choices, considering cultural preferences and dietary needs. Whether managing food stock, optimizing your budget, or liaising with central support teams on nutrition standards, Resident wellbeing will always be your top priority.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
HC-One is looking for a Head Chef with an S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, a minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate, and an understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. Beyond qualifications, we value your positive energy, ability to get along with people, organization skills, and knack for following recipes precisely. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, kindness and consideration are essential.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to act. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and pursue additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
