About The Team
This role forms part of the Product Litigation team within the Global Litigation function of Dyson Legal.

Responsibilities
* Lead and manage global IP disputes, focusing on patent litigation and owning the direct conduct of high‑profile cases, coordinating strategy with external counsel.
* Share insights and develop best practices in Dyson’s Centre of Excellence for Product Litigation.
* Analyze competitor products for potential IP infringement, partnering with technical experts to assess complex engineering and design issues.
* Collaborate with international partners to enforce Dyson's IP online and offline, protecting brand and ensuring genuine Dyson products reach customers worldwide.
* Drive anti‑counterfeiting investigations and enforcement, working with law‑enforcement agencies, customs, marketplaces and logistics companies.
* Act as a trusted IP advisor, providing clear guidance across the business to manage risks and shape strategies.
* Support IP licensing activities, advising on agreements and commercial negotiations with IP expertise.
* Deliver regular, impactful reports on disputes, brand protection and anti‑counterfeiting initiatives.
* Report operational progress to the Head of Product Litigation, ensuring transparency on key issues and priorities.
* Contribute to IP enforcement and brand protection strategies in alignment with Global Litigation objectives.
Qualifications
* Qualified solicitor or patent attorney with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience in intellectual property.
* Solid grounding in IP litigation, ideally with patents, and comfortable managing multi‑jurisdictional disputes.
* Experience advising on IP enforcement (paten and/or design), brand protection or anti‑counterfeiting.
* Strong analytical and technical acumen, with an interest in design, engineering or technology.
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, capable of reporting to senior leaders and working with global partners.
* Dynamic, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
* Collaborative team player, fostering a high‑performing, fair, transparent culture.
* Commercial business partner mindset, enabling strategic goals while balancing risk.
* In‑house legal experience or exposure to a global business environment is a plus.
