This is a varied role, involving assessments, reviews, and safeguarding work for adults aged 18+ across all social care pathways, supporting people with a range of disabilities and support needs, including physical, learning, mental health, and neurodivergent conditions, carried out in a strengths‑based, person‑centred way.
You should have a good understanding of adult safeguarding and the ability to work effectively within multi‑agency procedures. Support, supervision and training will be provided to enable newly qualified or less experienced Social Workers to develop their skills and confidence in this area.
The Flexible Response Team offers a supportive and welcoming team culture, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and mutual support. You will receive regular supervision, access to training, and opportunities for ongoing professional development.
A full driving licence and access to transport is essential. Disabled employees who are unable to drive due to their disability will be able to use taxis to carry out their duties.
If you would like to hear more about these opportunities, please contact Ali Lewis on 0115 854 6463 or Vicki Moore on 0115 854 6270 for an informal discussion.
Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full‑time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
