Your Role Awaits
As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in various teams, including:
* Community-Based Treatment Services: Provide assessments, coordinate treatment, and deliver structured psycho-social interventions to empower individuals in their recovery journey.
* Homeless Outreach Provision: Offer flexible support to vulnerable individuals sleeping rough or living in temporary accommodation.
* Criminal Justice Rehabilitation/Recovery Services: Collaborate with Probation Services, Prisons, and Police to provide tailored support for recovery and rehabilitation.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Recovery Worker, you will:
* Act as a key worker for a caseload of service users, helping them set and achieve their treatment goals.
* Maintain regular contact with clients, providing advice, information, and psycho-social interventions.
* Conduct assessments and risk management planning, working closely with clinical staff and partner agencies.
No two days will be the same! Your ability to communicate effectively and manage diverse tasks will be essential in this dynamic role.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* An understanding of substance and alcohol use, along with the challenges faced by individuals on their recovery journey.
* Transferable skills from backgrounds such as mental health, housing, or health and social care.
* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to our values.
We value lived experience and are also open to those new to this field. Our Trainee Recovery Worker program offers an entry-level position for individuals looking to grow within the organization.
