About the Role:
As we continue to support an increasing number of retail customers and local businesses across Guernsey, we have opportunities for candidates who are, or aspire to be, experienced lending representatives, looking to be part of a vibrant and friendly local team.
You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities to promote Cherry Godfrey’s products and services, while continuing to maintain close relationships with our existing clients.
Supporting both retail and commercial customers, you will be responsible for evaluating and preparing loans for approval, advising clients of their financial status and repayment methods.
Main duties will include:
* Working to sales and service targets for the lending department.
* Meeting with retail applicants in our offices to discuss information relating to their retail loan applications and to answer questions about the process and any wider services that might benefit them.
* Meeting small and medium-sized businesses to identify areas that we can support their financial needs and recommending suitable product solutions.
* Evaluating and preparing loan applications providing a complete report and recommendation for the approval of the underwriters.
* Maintaining accurate client information in our systems to meet compliance and regulatory requirements and to support further business development activities.
About You:
* We would ideally like you to have at least two year’s of experience working in a lending, sales or customer service role.
* We will need you to be a ‘people’ person with great communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with enquiries at all levels.
* We are seeking an individual that is self‑motivated, and able to provide evidence of personal development through training and have strong ICT skills.
This is full time office based role of 35 hours per week.
