Position: We’re looking for an enthusiastic and self motivated Financial Accountant to join our evolving Finance team, responsible for entities in both the UK and US. In this role, you will take ownership of several key components of the accounting cycle including production of monthly management accounts, treasury functions, account reconciliations, payroll calculations and tax compliance. You will also be a key contributor to the delivery of technical and statutory accounting papers as required throughout the year, production of annual statutory financial statements for the Group and cashflow forecasting. Working as part of a small team, this role is a great opportunity to gain experience across a breadth of core financial processes within a fast paced private equity backed business with global reach. Key responsibilities of this role will include; Production of monthly management accounts in conjunction with other team members, including journal entries and analysis Monthly account reconciliations Group transfer pricing calculations and processing UK and US tax reporting Commission calculations and other payroll inputs Production of relevant technical and statutory accounting papers Lead in delivery of audit requirements Production of statutory financial statements (FRS102) Loan covenant compliance calculations Cashflow reporting and forecast updates As we’re a small team the role will also include some responsibilities which arise on an ad hoc basis and supporting in providing cover for other team members when on leave. Requirements: You: Are fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Have strong demonstrable experience in month-end accounting processes, including preparation and posting of journals. Have strong technical accounting knowledge and can confidently apply this in practice. Have proven ability to produce statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Hold a good understanding of UK corporate tax requirements and reporting obligations. Are familiar with the statutory audit process and know how to support auditors effectively. Are comfortable working with multiple currencies. Are proficient in Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level (e.g. pivot tables, lookups). Are highly organised and able to manage deadlines across multiple priorities. Have excellent analytical skills and enjoy digging into the detail to find insights and ensure accuracy. Operate with a high level of attention to detail. Enjoy collaborating with others and contributing to a positive team environment. Are confident interacting with auditors and external advisors. Anything else? As well as the above, if you have any of the desired experience below then we’d like to know about it! Experience of SaaS / subscriptions would be preferred but not essential. Familiarity with UK and US sales taxes is preferred, though not a requirement.
