Content Lead (SA)
Full-Time, starting on a 10 months' contract.

We are looking for a dynamic leader for a new Content Squad at Greenpark. This is a dedicated content role with the primary objective of maximising website traffic and brand awareness for an FMCG in the USA. This is a remote role, located in the USA and managed out of London with expectation that the candidate will travel to the client’s offices in Chicago on a semi-regular basis. A performance mindset, ability to lead and own the project from end-to-end are essential. This role will be working with copywriters, creatives and experts in search and performance to help serve the content needs of a leading multi-brand FMCG – it’s a role the right person can make their own by becoming an essential partner to the client who intimately understands their business, products and audiences.

1. To lead a new, exciting always-on content project and squad of writers, creative, and performance experts. Focused on driving traffic and brand fame for a large FMCG.
2. To work closely with SEO to identify and create content that will work hard to capture and engage audiences and create SEO-lead content strategies for the FMCG.
3. To develop and lead on content plans for the FMCG’s individual brands. And work the content squad to ensure all content is delivered in a timely way and perfect condition.
4. To work closely with creative to develop visual ideas to support all content production and strategise how this can work across platforms.
5. To provide ongoing strategic support to FMCG brands on performance content, trends and trends in their industry, using social and search insights to support.
6. To develop tone of voice documents and be a guardian for the written word for the brands.
7. To lead internal brainstorms to develop creative ideas for tackling business objectives through content.
8. To upskill and train internal teams where necessary on what immaculate performance content looks like and how to achieve it.
9. To lead on reporting back to the business on performance and using those insights to inform ongoing content strategy and execution.
10. To audit existing web content and improve it for both quality and performance.
Requirements
11. At least 5 years managing website content, including editing article and good working knowledge of SEO.
12. Experience in omnichannel content strategy and planning.
13. Experience in leading a team of creatives in multi-platform content creation.
14. Working knowledge of what makes branded content exciting and compelling.
15. Experience working closely and managing multiple client stakeholders.
16. Experience with working with brands on content production is essential, experience with working with FMCGs is a plus.
17. Excellent understanding of web insights and reporting, including social listening, and how to use this to develop and grow strategies.
18. Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills with the ability to create impactful copy for web.
19. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
20. Experience in working with regulatory bodies on content approvals and ways of working around approval processes.
21. Experience writing about healthcare and personal care and best practices around referencing.
22. Experience in talking to and interviewing experts to inform article creation.
23. Ability to analyse competitor output and use the insights to inform ongoing strategies.
24. Experience in CRM strategy, copy creation and management is preferred.
25. Proficient in reading SEO performance data using Semrush and Google Analytics preferred
26. Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects at once.
Reporting and Communication Structure
27. Reports to the Head of Content, North America and EMEA
Responsibilities
28. Set up internal workflows around the content squad and how it works with the client.
29. Create a robust web strategy for driving traffic for a brands within an FMCG.
30. Lead on creative ideas and content planning for the content squad.
31. Lead and help manage internal creative meetings, as well as provide pro-active content ideas and suggestions to the content output on all channels/platforms.
32. Plan all the social and web content into the content calendar, including: Always-on content with the aim of driving site traffic and conversions.Reactive and seasonal content.Liaise with creative and production teams on all edited assets and ensuring a smooth delivery.Ideating and executing team content.Maintain website calendars and trackers
33. Ensure that all content meets brand and regulatory guidelines
34. Provide performance insights from the channels for the monthly content report and reporting back to the internal business and client on this performance.
35. To grow traffic to brand sites from month to month and provide ongoing support on best practice on how to do this and achieve the goals of the client in brand awareness and conversion.
