Net Talent Partners is partnering with a prominent organisation in Edinburgh, Scotland, to recruit a permanent Data & Systems Analyst. This key role is integral to the IT Services department, supporting the organisation’s strategic aims by ensuring data integrity, system optimisation, and seamless integration across various digital platforms. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in infrastructure and data analysis, with proven SQL expertise, to support operational excellence and informed decision-making. * Extract, transform, and analyse data from multiple systems (e.g., MIS, HR, Finance, M365) to support reporting and operational insight.
* Design and maintain datasets, reports, and dashboards using SQL and Power BI.
* Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.
* Support the technical implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimisation of enterprise systems.
* Support system upgrades, migrations, and routine maintenance in collaboration with IT teams and external suppliers.
* Support the school’s annual ‘rollover’ process, including data migration and system updates.
* Develop data collection standards and collaborate with stakeholders to embed data-driven decision-making.
* Proactively identify technical issues, troubleshoot, and implement solutions to ensure system effectiveness.
* Manage the implementation of new systems, ensuring minimal disruption and aligned with strategic priorities.
* Ensure systems and data handling comply with GDPR, safeguarding, and information security standards.
* Engage with internal teams and external providers to support project delivery, ensuring technical risk is managed.
* Degree in a related field with a strong aptitude for data analysis and IT solutions development.
* Experience in infrastructure with a background in system integration and optimisation.
* Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and other data management tools.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to data quality.
* Experience working within a matrix management environment is desirable.
* Knowledge of school operations and key processes is an advantage.
* Ability to work creatively and critically to deliver strategic IT solutions.
