Role Summary

We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team in Aberdeen, who will play a key role supporting the Procurement Department and ensure relationships with our supply chain are maintained. This role would suit someone who is self-motivated, highly organised, and proactive, who enjoys being a valued member of the team.

What you’ll be doing

1. Answer and transfer calls with a courteous and professional manner and take accurate messages ensuring these are passed on to the relevant person.
2. Help to field/handle purchasing queries.
3. Assist the Category Managers with daily task.
4. Raising purchase orders on a daily basis, this will include credit card purchases.
5. Collation of Credit Card invoices.
6. Filing and scanning of documents.
7. Assist with expediting outstanding purchase orders.
8. Order of internal use items (stationery etc).
9. Internal product training courses.
10. Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Other requirements

17. Previous office administration / work experience advantageous
18. Good communication skills (verbal and written)
19. Self-motivated and highly organised, able to multitask and work to tight deadlines
20. High focus on accuracy and attention to detail
21. Proactive and able to use initiative
22. Team player with a flexible approach
23. Good MS Office skills (outlook, word, excel)
