Established Midlands law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Property Solicitor (or CILEX-qualified Senior Associate / Salaried Partner) to join their growing Commercial Property team in Birmingham city centre.
This is a senior, career-defining role for an ambitious candidate who wants to lead, develop and shape a high-performing team while handling a wide-ranging commercial property caseload.

The Role
You will lead and manage a varied caseload of commercial property transactions, including:
* Drafting, negotiating, and completing commercial leases, licences to occupy, agreements for lease, and related documentation
* Acting for SMEs and business owners in the purchase and sale of commercial property
* Acting for lenders, bridging lenders, receivers, liquidators, and administrators in property transactions
* Working alongside corporate teams on acquisitions, disposals, mergers, share purchases, and restructuring, including due diligence on property aspects
* Advising on property finance matters and reviewing security over land
* Drafting contracts, auction packs, and related transactional documentation
In addition, you will:
* Supervise and mentor junior members of the commercial property team, including conducting regular supervision meetings
* Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensure high standards of client care and file management
* Lead business development initiatives for the team, including attending networking and marketing events
* Contribute to firm-wide strategy and assist with submissions to independent legal directories, reflecting the team’s recognition and achievements
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum 8 years PQE in commercial property law
* Strong technical knowledge of commercial property transactions
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrable experience in supervising and developing junior lawyers
* A proactive approach to business development and client relationship management
* Organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
