Job Summary

As a Clinical Support Worker (CSW) you will support registered professionals in delivering safe, effective and compassionate care to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and assist healthcare professionals such as nurses, doctors and other integrated professionals.
* Provide high-quality, caring and compassionate personal care.
* Carry out duties as specified in the Trust’s core task list for Clinical Support Workers/Health Care Assistants.
* Document all care delivered, countersigned by a registered professional, maintaining confidentiality.
* Assist in the preparation of patients for treatment, investigations or procedures.
* Maintain a clean and safe clinical area, adhering to infection control procedures.
* Chaperone or escort patients as needed.
* Support relatives demonstrating compassion and empathy.
* Assist with the discharge process for patients.
* Communicate effectively within the multi‑disciplinary team and report incidents, accidents and complaints as per Trust policy.
* Provide and deliver a high standard of individualised care under the direction and supervision of the registered professional.
Qualifications & Skills
* Obtained an educational level of GCSE level A‑C in English and Maths or equivalent.
* Experience working as part of a team.
* Experience in delivering care and working in a healthcare or people‑centred environment (desirable).
* Able to work to an agreed level of competency.
* Good written, verbal and non‑verbal communication skills.
* Competent IT skills.
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
* Ability to write accurately and legibly.
* Passes pre‑employment checks.
* Able to work flexibly over a 24 hour period.
* Able to carry out moderate to intense physical effort throughout the working day and carry out concurrent activities.
* Able, with appropriate support, to work in an emotionally demanding environment.
