We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS to join a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide senior medical leadership within the CAMHS team
* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans
* Manage a caseload of children and adolescents with complex mental health needs
* Offer clinical supervision and support to junior medical staff and the wider MDT
* Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and safeguarding processes
* Liaise with external agencies including schools, social services, and community organisations
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
* Inclusion on the Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry would be desirable
* Significant experience working within CAMHS settings
* Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision‑making skills
* Section 12/22 approval and Approved Clinician status (Depending on area of the UK)
