We’re expanding our Environment and Water portfolio and have fantastic opportunities for Quantity Surveyors to join us. Responsibilities
* Support Water Companies in delivering large capital programmes, providing an essential service, and improving the environment.
* Provide commercial support to a large project or programme of works.
* Support and advise the Project Manager in fulfilling contractual obligations.
* On behalf of the Project Manager, monitor and process commercial queries from Consultants and Contractors.
* Attend progress meetings to respond to commercial matters raised.
* Assess applications for payment and support the payment process, clarifying queries with relevant Consultants and Contractors.
* Carry out periodic commercial checks and due diligence with the Project Manager to ensure records correspond to submitted information.
* Provide ongoing assessment of Consultant and Contractor’s estimates to completion.
* Receive and check final accounts, negotiate amendments, and recommend acceptance or rejection.
* Prepare estimates and cost plans to support project development and budgetary governance.
* Prepare standard documentation – reports, valuations, letters, financial statements, etc.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
* Experience with NEC contracts and other target cost or cost reimbursable contracts.
* Proven skills and experience delivering within a Cost Consultancy or Main Contractor environment.
* Developed contract management skills.
* Experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Pre- and post-contract experience.
* Experience working in collaborative teams.
* Willingness to travel to client sites, with potential overnight stays.

Environment & Water
Our multidisciplinary experts help water, wastewater, and government organisations find sustainable, cost-effective solutions addressing climate change, net‑zero, water scarcity and environmental protection. We provide services across the full project lifecycle, from pre‑contract cost estimating and benchmarking to post‑contract quantity surveying and commercial assurance. Projects range from a few hundred thousand pounds to major programmes worth over £0.5 bn.
