We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Practice Nurse to join a well-established, supportive GP surgery in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role or take on a long-term locum position—depending on your availability and career goals.
Location: Swindon
Salary: £40 per hour
Job Type: Permanent or Long-Term Locum
Start Date: Flexible
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality nursing care and chronic disease management in a primary care setting
* Administer vaccinations, wound care, and cervical screening
* Provide health promotion and lifestyle advice to patients
* Assist in the management of long-term conditions such as asthma, COPD, and diabetes
* Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider practice team to ensure effective patient care
Requirements
* Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a UK GP surgery or primary care setting
* Confident in using clinical systems (EMIS/SystmOne ideal)
* Skilled in chronic disease management and treatment room duties
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
