Job overview
We are looking for you to join our Hampshire team. You will have a keen interest in Liaison and Diversion and a passion for supporting service users through police custody, court, and prison.

Main duties of the job
* Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, primarily in court settings and community visits.
* Support individuals in court and custody who are often hard to engage, working with families to understand their circumstances and facilitate access to support services.
* Advocate for service users, promoting their rights, building rapport, and maintaining boundaries while managing challenging situations.
* Provide advice on housing, social isolation, education, debt, and employment issues.
* Provide timely written and verbal reports to the court.
* Collaborate with agencies in custody, court, and probation settings, acting as a single point of contact for health.
* Manage your workload independently.

Essential requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or relevant diploma-level training.
* A warm personality with good communication skills.
* Own vehicle and driver’s license, willing to travel across sites.

Person specification
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, with relevant experience at band 2/3 level, and a postgraduate psychology qualification.
* CPD: Evidence of ongoing learning, research, and training attendance.
* Experience: Supporting vulnerable people and working within the criminal justice system.
* Knowledge/Skills: Criminal justice system, Liaison & Diversion, IT proficiency, health & social care systems.
* Additional: Full driving license, vehicle, and proficient in written/spoken English.
