Profectus Recruitment is proud to be supporting a highly regulated financial services organisation to recruit an IT Service Management & Governance Lead.

This role is heavily focused on embedding and maturing IT Service Management practices, ensuring core ITSM processes operate effectively day to day, and using these foundations to improve service quality, resilience, and control across the technology estate.

In the initial phase, the role will be hands‑on and operational, centred around rolling out and strengthening ITSM processes such as Change, Incident and Problem Management, supporting live service operations, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Over time, the remit will broaden to include technology risk, governance and resilience oversight, once strong service foundations are in place.

You’ll be joining a collaborative, stakeholder‑led environment where influencing, pragmatism and delivery matter more than producing paperwork. This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to how IT actually runs and wants to shape how services operate as the organisation continues to scale.

Hybrid working: 2 days per week on‑site.


What they’re looking for

* Strong, recent hands‑on experience in IT Service Management within financial services or another highly regulated environment
* Solid working knowledge of ITIL processes, particularly Incident, Change and Problem Management
* Experience operating within an ITSM toolset (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, HaloITSM or similar) and governing day‑to‑day workflows
* Proven ability to improve ITSM processes, embed consistency, and drive continuous service improvement
* Comfortable working closely with technology teams, suppliers and stakeholders to support live service delivery
* Exposure to governance, audit, risk, resilience or DR activities within an ITSM or service operations context
* Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence outcomes

(HaloITSM experience is beneficial but not essential – training will be provided where required.)
