We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Café Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food safety standards are met, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage café staff, including baristas and kitchen personnel
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and safety
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the café
* Train and mentor team members on food safety, customer service, and operational procedures
* Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
* Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
* Develop and implement promotional strategies to enhance café offerings
* Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration
* Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a café or restaurant setting
* Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead a diverse team
* Excellent team management skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction
* Culinary experience with knowledge of food production techniques
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
* Previous kitchen experience is essential; hotel or barista experience is advantageous
* Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
