Electrical Package Manager
Location: Plymouth – Devon
Hours: 45 hours per week (07:30 – 17:30)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager to support the delivery of a major redevelopment project within a secure and regulated environment in Plymouth.
This role involves managing electrical works packages within a live operational facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and commercially controlled delivery in line with programme and quality expectations.
Due to the sensitive nature of the project, security clearance will be required, which can be done at offer stage
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure all electrical works are procured, planned and executed safely in accordance with UK legislation and project requirements
• Review and coordinate designs with design teams to ensure buildability, compliance with standards, and alignment with contractual obligations
• Manage change control processes and proactively identify, mitigate, and manage risks and opportunities
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on site progress and financial performance
• Deliver works in line with agreed quality, programme, and commercial targets
• Ensure installation and design works meet statutory requirements and project specifications
• Provide leadership and direction to project team members within the electrical package
• Monitor performance and ensure objectives are achieved within agreed time and cost constraints
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation
• Ensure all required appointments are made by the Authorising Engineer for electrical works
This role profile is not exhaustive and may require undertaking additional responsibilities aligned to the position.
Candidate Requirements
• Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BSc, BEng, MEng or equivalent)
• SMSTS
• CSCS – White (PQP/AQP)
• Proven experience delivering electrical packages within complex infrastructure projects
• Experience within regulated environments such as defence, nuclear or heavy infrastructure preferred
• Strong commercial awareness and experience working to programme and budget constraints
• Experience operating within live operational environments
Security & Eligibility
• BPSS clearance required (process may take up to 8 weeks)
• Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country
• Candidates must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years
