3. Sales Growth & Customer Development
4. Drive sales performance across existing and new customers, focusing on margin growth and sustainable revenue.
5. Identify and secure new business opportunities across wholesale, retail, and independent trade sectors
6. Utilise established industry relationships to open new trading channels and strengthen our market presence.
7. Maintain regular contact with key customers through face-to-face meetings, calls, and trade events.
8. Deliver strong customer service and long-term partnerships based on reliability, trust, and value.
9. Identify and mitigate commercial risks while pursuing growth opportunities.
10. Experience managing profit and loss (P&L) and driving margin improvement.
11. Contribute to marketing and promotional planning to support category sales initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Sales Manager should have:
12. Proven experience in a trading, business development, or commercial sales management role within the FMCG / wholesale / grocery sector.
13. Strong record of sales growth and GP generation
14. Excellent commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
15. Well-connected within the industry, with a network of relevant contacts.
16. Strong analytical skills and ability to manage margin performance and P&L impact.
17. Can work collaboratively with Finance, Operations, and Logistics to ensure smooth execution of all trading activity.
18. Confident communicator, able to influence and build trust at all levels.
