Waking Night Care Assistants are required for various 12 hour waking night shifts (8pm‑8am) with extra daytime shifts available to cover holidays and sickness of other care staff. These hours are to assist a young gentleman with severe autism, epilepsy & learning disabilities who lives in a family home.
There are a minimum of 12–36+ hours available per week.
The waking nights involve monitoring him for nocturnal seizures. A second sleeping PA/carer will be on the same shift if needed. All aspects of personal care, including medication administration, are required.
Experience with autism and epilepsy would be ideal, but training can be given.
The rate of pay is £14.70 per hour, with 5.6 weeks annual holiday (pro‑rata).
A DBS check is required for this position.
