Stork is recruiting for a UKAS CAT 3 Pipework Inspection Engineer based in Southampton on a permanent basis.
Location: Southampton
Annual leave: 25 days plus 8 fixed public holidays per annum.

Role:
We are seeking UKAS RG2 category 3 Inspection Engineers to work onshore in the Southampton area. The role involves in-service plant inspections at a refinery.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare WSEs in accordance with Pressure System Safety Regulations (PSSR).
* Develop inspection work scopes based on Written Schemes of Examination (WSE), including access, insulation removal, and NDT requirements.
* Perform invasive visual examinations of major pressure systems, such as process pipework, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation columns, PRVs, and tanks.
* Coordinate with NDT team to clarify inspection techniques to meet integrity goals.
* Produce detailed inspection reports describing asset conditions.
* Assess corrosion levels and raise defects when limits are exceeded.
* Review PRV certifications, ensuring proper settings and testing schedules.
* Review and update WSEs and inspection frequencies post-inspection.
* Participate in risk-based assessment programs for pressure systems.
Requirements:
Essential:
Experience with in-service inspection of process piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation columns, and PRVs, with knowledge of relevant design codes. Understanding of PSSR and experience creating work scopes for pressure system inspections.
Qualifications:
Must meet UKAS category 3 inspection engineer criteria, which includes being an Engineering Technician as defined by the Engineering Council or equivalent (e.g., ONC with relevant experience, NVQ Level III), with at least 5 years' experience in a relevant discipline, including one year in pressure system inspection.
Desirable:
* API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspection Certification.
