About the role:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining all elements of the manufacturing site, with a strong electrical/electronic bias. You will support both the Maintenance and Production teams, ensuring equipment reliability and maximum uptime through reactive and preventative maintenance. This is a full-time position of 35 hours per week, with flexible working options including a 4-day week.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Maintenance & Repairs: Provide reactive and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime, including diagnosing and resolving electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults across site equipment.
* Compliance & Safety: Support compliance activities and ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety legislation and company policies.
* Continuous Improvement & Teamwork: Contribute to ongoing improvements within the business while working closely with Maintenance and Production teams and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
* Supplier & Site Support: Liaise and plan with suppliers, contractors and production teams as required, and carry out general site maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, painting, and basic upkeep.
About you:
As the new Maintenance Engineer, you will have at least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment, with strong electrical and electronic fault-finding skills. You will have hands on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, industrial furnaces (including vacuum furnaces), vacuum systems, and pumps, and be confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
You will hold a minimum HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or have extensive relevant experience. xsngvjr Ideally, you will also have experience with injection moulding, industrial equipment such as pumps, mixers, or chillers, automation or robotics, and knowledge of PLC or control systems.
