About The Role
We’re looking for a strategic and visionary Director of People, Volunteering & Organisational Development who will be responsible for shaping and delivering an ambitious and compassionate people strategy that fosters inclusion, excellence, and a high-performing culture. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll work closely with the Chief Executive, Board, Committees, cross-organisational colleagues, key stakeholders, and strategic partners. Your collaborative approach and strategic insight will make a meaningful and measurable impact and difference on the overall leadership and success of the Hospice.
About You
* Proven senior human resources leadership experience, ideally in a healthcare, charity, or public sector setting Significant experience of leading organisations, senior managers and teams through employee relations, organisational change, developing cultures and embedding values Experience of strategy development and implementation Strong understanding of volunteer management and engagement Experience of successfully embedding workplace EDI initiatives Effective interpersonal skills: persuasiveness, diplomacy, tact and ability to listen effectively Awareness of, and commitment to the Vision and Values of the Hospice
