REPORTING TO: UK&I Communications Manager
LOCATION: Hybrid
HOURS: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for travel or events, 40 hours per week

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the delivery of our internal and external communications strategy. This role will assist the UK&I Communications Manager in executing communication plans and managing social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and editing skills, a keen interest in social media and communications and some experience managing and organising live events an conferences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist in the execution of communication plans to drive awareness and engagement among key stakeholders.
2. Support the creation and maintenance of a culture of two-way internal communication.
3. Help develop and manage a content calendar for various channels (internal and external).
4. Assist in managing social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram, and analyse engagement and trends.
5. Create content for senior leadership to post on their professional networking platforms.
6. Support marketing-related activities and provide creative or analytical assistance as needed.
7. Coordinate and support the planning, logistics, and communications for internal and external roadshows and conferences, working with vendors, venues, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery
8. Create and manage event materials, including presentations and speaker briefs, while capturing content for reuse across internal channels and social media platforms.
9. Support the end-to-end delivery of internal events, including planning, promotion, onsite communications, and content capture to drive engagement and participation.
10. Draft, format, and distribute regular internal newsletters in collaboration with key stakeholders - Maintain a structured calendar to align with company priorities, campaigns, and leadership updates.
11. Track readership and engagement metrics to inform content improvements and reporting.
12. Help monitor and enforce social media governance and manage unauthorized or under-resourced social channels.
13. Assist in crisis communication responses in collaboration with the communication team and PR agency.
14. Monitor analytics and help generate reports to demonstrate the success of communications.
15. Write press releases, news stories, articles, case studies, and other content to support the business.
16. Assist in coordinating and project managing photo shoots and filming for new material and literature.
17. Monitor media coverage and analyze reports/data to demonstrate success and ROI.
18. Provide high-level competitor analysis monthly.
19. Attend relevant events and provide on-ground support from a PR & Comms perspective.
20. Travel as needed to visit sites and understand content needs.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
21. Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills.
22. Self-starter with strong initiative and a quick learner.
23. Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
24. Basic understanding of social media platforms and their use in a professional setting.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
25. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, PR, or a related field.
