We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Agricultural & Rural Sales Assistant & Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team at our Kendal Branch at J36. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about developing, growing and maximising sales from our Kendal store. The role is for 24 hours per week.

The Job
* Manage the yard and warehouse, receive and dispatch all items, maintain up-to-date, clean and presentable displays.
* Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage incoming goods and timing.
* Deliver goods to customers on time, assist with outbound deliveries, pick products and load vehicles.
* Support team members to achieve targets and complete tasks.
* Maintain good working relationships with all team members.
* Promote the business and meet required standards.
* Follow company procedures to complete tasks independently.
* Ensure routine daily tasks are completed on time and to required standard.
* Handle customer enquiries, requests and problems promptly and confidently.
* Identify and manage risks in the work environment and respond appropriately.
* Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.
* Deliver van deliveries in a timely and professional manner.
* Keep the yard tidy and presentable with stock rotation.
* Cover the counter in the store when necessary.
* Adhere to company and group policies and procedures, including Safety, Health & Environment.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice, including UFAS, FIAS & NOPS assurance schemes.
Skills, Experience and Qualities Required
Essential
* Team player with genuine interest in helping others.
* Continuously looking to improve yard areas and displays.
* Full UK driver’s licence to operate van deliveries.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to liaise between departments.
* Exceptional customer service skills when dealing with internal and external customers.
Desirable
* Agricultural experience.
* Competent IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite.
* Amtra SQP qualification.
* Qualified Forklift Truck and Telehandler Driver with experience loading and unloading vehicles.
* Holder of a tachograph card.
* Holder of a CPC Driving Licence.
