About the Role
We will provide you with full training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to enable you to safely and effectively work as a Team Leader to…
* Lead and motivate a small team through a practical and hands on approach
* Set priorities to maximise production efficiency and promote working practices that develops a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and open communication
* Identify and suggest improvements to the manufacturing and quality process to ensure agreed cost efficient production schedules
* Assist with the installation of new plant equipment
* Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies
* Carry out factory inspections, giving advice and support to production operatives and other personnel
* Monitoring quality from raw material to finished goods
* Ensure all new starters are efficiently inducted and trained
Hours of Work: 7.00am till 5.00pm, Monday - Friday (flexibility is required)
About You
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a safety-first culture is essential
* At least a year’s leadership experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role or similar
* Experience of working in a high production environment, primarily in the automotive, food or FMCG related industries
* Good exposure to health & safety standards, continuous improvement methods and environmental best practice
* IT skills – working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook
* Strong organisational & planning abilities
