Our client, a rapidly growing and profitable business services company, based in Chesterfield, is seeking a proactive Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is a key position, offering the chance to work closely with operational leaders while ensuring robust financial control and insightful reporting.

Responsibilities
* Producing timely and accurate monthly financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet and variance analysis
* Supporting the month-end close process and contributing to group-level reporting
* Overseeing regular payroll activity and ensuring compliance with relevant processes
* Analysing service costs and profitability to support commercial decisions
* Providing financial input to operational teams and assisting with performance monitoring
* Helping to shape financial forecasts, annual budgets, and audit preparation
* Supervising and coaching a junior finance team member
* Recommending improvements to internal systems, controls, and reporting tools
Qualifications
* Professionally qualified or actively studying (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
* A strong foundation in management accounting, financial reporting, accounting procedures, and payroll
* Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to analyse data and explain insights clearly
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with different teams
* A hands-on attitude, with a focus on solving problems and improving processes
* Experience working in a business services or similar professional environment is a plus
* Strong Excel skills would be beneficial
