We are seeking a proactive and experienced Automated Systems Engineer to join our client's operations team. This role is ideal for a qualified engineer with knowledge of MOVU automated pallet shuttle systems and experience in automated warehouse environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our fully automated systems to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and service the MOVU automated pallet shuttle system, identifying and resolving faults.
* Carry out all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities on time and to the required standard.
* Ensure all statutory and compliance checks are completed accurately and on schedule.
* Liaise with suppliers and contractors to manage technical issues and system improvements.
* Monitor spare parts usage and complete regular stock checks.
* Assist with administrative tasks within the engineering department, including documentation and reporting.
Key Requirements
* Minimum HND (Level 5) qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
* Proven experience working with automated pallet systems, preferably within a warehouse environment.
* Comfortable working at height and in a high-pressure, time-critical environment.
* A practical understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems (approximately 70/30 bias).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and logical thinking.
* Computer literate with strong communication and administration skills.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Successful completion of vetting checks/references during the application process.
