About the Role
As the Lead Hydrotherapy Pool Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting both our customers and our hydrotherapy pool operations. You’ll assist with daily pool duties, customer care, and step up in the absence of the Pool Manager. From poolside safety to plant room checks and rota coordination, no two days will be the same.
This is a hands-on, people-focused role perfect for someone with a can-do attitude, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
What You’ll Do
* Be the on-site lifeguard during sessions (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification required or willingness to obtain)
* Maintain pool safety and hygiene, including daily cleaning of the pool, treatment rooms, and public areas
* Conduct and log daily pool and plant room operational checks and tasks to ensure the smooth running of the pool
* Support the day-to-day running of the pool, including stock control, security, and customer bookings
* Provide assistance in the pool to customers, following individual care plans and safety procedures
* Take on lead responsibilities in the absence of the Pool Manager, including rota planning, customer support, and maintenance reporting
* Collaborate with physiotherapists to deliver personalised hydrotherapy programmes
* Keep accurate records and contribute to the ongoing development of the service
What we’re looking for
* Experience of supporting people with physical disabilities, particularly in a care, therapy, or aquatic setting
* A proactive and responsible individual with excellent communication and team working skills
* Lifeguard qualified (or willing to train)
* Comfortable with manual handling and providing personal assistance in water-based environments
* Organised, reliable, flexible and able to work independently when necessary
