Liverpool John Lennon Airport is looking to recruit an Aeronautical Ground Lighting Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake planned preventative and corrective maintenance, on the Airfield Lighting systems, ensuring compliance with EASA and ICAO regulations. They may also be expected to assist in the maintenance of critical plant across the airport as and when required. This includes airfield and car park high mast lighting.
They will be trained to conduct regulatory MALMS runway lighting inspections to ensure that the Air Ground Lighting systems are operating to specified standards. It will be expected that the successful candidate is able to prioritise and progress maintenance issues and drive their resolution ensuring operations continue safely.
They must liaise with external contractors ensuring a high quality of work standards are maintained and liaise with the AGL Team Leader to ensure stock control and administrative duties are completed to departmental standards.
They should be able to communicate effectively as and when required with other departments and comply and co-operate with the company’s Safety Management System.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a relevant qualification and experience in electrical engineering (NVQ or equivalent).
We are also looking for candidates who have a good level of computer literacy, excellent team working skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
The hours of work will be 42 per week working a 4 on 4 off days shift cycle. There will also be a requirement to cover on-call during evenings & weekends.
